Pepsi Max
“One very, very, very lonley calorie”
Awesome illustrations for a ‘meh, that’s ok’ concept. Still I love it: the character design, the colors, the use of type… Beautiful!
Here’s the rest of the campaign:

wtf? I agree with you, Ale, the lllios skill, colors, contrast of stained background, and hand made ink lettering are top drawer BUT the negativity, the ugliness of suicide, the violence, make me wonder why talented people continue to spend their precious time and gifts on things that harm.
Sure artists can say, hey, it’s just a job, times are tough, etc. but there are always dignified principled choices to contribute talent to. Or make your own.
I realize it’s a young demographic they are trying to get to with this sort of campaign but are there no young people with more depth?

I think they just took it on the fun side, but still, it’s totaly unrelated to the product, and I find it really strange…
As for the illustrator, I see them as professionals who just do what the client says, in exchange for money, and there’s nothing wrong with that. If you got personal principles you want to respect, then you’d better take the art road so you won’t have to deal with huge corporation’s ideas
I have designed stuff for companies I didn’t like vey much but well, that’s part of the deal when getting the job.

the one with the gun is a bit unsettling ! While using cartoon characters I wonder how the kids will perceive that ??? That it is ok to shoot yourself in the head???
